Castle for Carmen

This is the page I made for Carmen in May. Carmen has the topic castles. At first I thought about sewing a Loire castle. But I arranged the towers somewhat different.
I found the walls of the original castle a lot too gray - can you be happy, in boring gray walls? A good queen has to live in a colorful castle! ;-) My interpretation of the theme "castle" is colorful!
Perhaps there a party going on.

Jugendstil for Cobi

Today I can show you a preview of the Jugendstil side for Cobi.

I managed to finish the side yesterday. The age of Art Nouveau began in drawings, then furnitures were created and finally fronts. For the fabric book page I choose an ornament of a front of Brühl.

Coastline June

Making a coast themed page I loved the idea of showing the sea, the beach and a bit of land with a blue sky. It turned out quite difficult to get some perspective into the page.

To get the some structure into the water I weaving fine bands of fabric. The beach the dune, the green land and the sky are appliqued fabrics. At the end I stitched the two groins. The groins forms the sea - the waves form the beach.

Chris, I am relieved to hear, that you like the page.
