Autumn leaves from Ruth

Thank you Ruth for this beautiful page, got it a day back.
Hand painting done with fabric paints on muslin, thread sketching and quilting are the techniques Ruth has used to create this page.
Have to get started on making the page for June.

A Tiny Hint For Johanna

Well, the mailman came by early of all things!!! I missed the post sooooooo your Goddess page will be launched on it's journey on Tuesday!!! i ahd every intention of having it gone on Friday. As monday is a National Holiday here in the states, It will hit the first post on Tuesday morning. It is always something, isn't it????

Here is a tiny slice of a hint.

A monoprinted background and a bit of a hand carved stamping- this will ahve to hold you!!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

Apologies to Gayle

HI Gayle
I am sorry but i am behind with your page i will get it in the mail by the end of next week. We have had one hell of a month and its only now calming down. I will make it up to up.
Love Chris

Apologies to Chris, and Carmen.

I am so sorry that your May page - Coastline - is going to be a little delayed, Chris. I had started the page much earlier in the month, but since I just wasn't convinced the technique I planned to use was working, I decided to start again.
The page is nearing completion now, but it will be a few days before I can get it into the post. I shall let you know when the page has been posted.
On another topic, my April page -Castles- does not seem to have arrived with Carmen. I do hope that this arrives soon. If not, I shall remake the page and send a replacement for you.

New window Page From Julliette

Two days ago I recieved this lovely window page from Julliette. Julliette is in the midst of prepping for a big exhibition so she is having a tough time getting to all of her chores so she asked me to post pictures of her page. i am delighted to do so. Almost as delighted as I am to add this beautiful page to my growning collection!!!! I do hope, however, that Julliette will tell us all about her big project when she gets to the other side of it!!!!!

In the note that came with the page , Julliette told me that she took this picture while on holiday in Cornwall (I think) and then transfered it to fabric and added gloriously detailed freemotion stitching for the vines and the flowers growing up the walls.
Thank you very much Julliette, for this wonderful addition to my little book!!!

Kanzashi

Hi Kath,
I've known for weeks what I was going to do for you, have it started, but will not get it finished to mail this week. It's been one of those weeks that was full from the getgo, then every day a new challenge pops up. Nothing bad or earth-shaking, but time gobblers none the less. Unless you hear differently, I will finish when my guests leave on Wednesday, and mail on Thursday June 3rd.
Gayle

for Gayle

Gayle, I've finished your page and it will be mailed today. It find it quite hard to part with it. I think its my best page ever. I used a new-to-me method to make leaves: I colored silk with Neocolors II, mixed the colors with water, cut leaves and burned the edges in a candle flame.

art nouveau from Kath

This is the page that Kath made for me. I love it. Lovely flowing lines, I love the color choice and the scaloped finish is perfect. Great backside as well. Are these your own drawings Kath?

Jali window for Elizabeth

There will be no sneak peek picture to accompany this post because it would simply give it all away. Jali literally means net in Hindi and a jali window would be a intricately patterned and carved window of stone.
Elizabeth I just want to let you know I've completed your page for May and I'll be posting it today.

A Door from Juliette

P5240007

Take a look at the wonderful door I received today from Juliette!  It's a wonderful door done in thread painting.  Thanks so much, Juliette.  My book of doors is going to be soooo cool!

E-mail Addresses?

There has been a suggestion that I send out a list of everyone's e-mail addresses to the whole group to facilitate communication. I somehow thought that some of you didn't want your e-mails given out to the group. Please let me know if you don't want your e-mail address sent to the rest of the group. If I don't hear from you in a week, I will send out all your addresses next week to the whole group. That way, if you're behind, you can send your page recipient a note to let them know when their page will arrive.

Maya, Your May Page is in the Mail

Maya - I just wanted you to know that your May page is on the way from Montana to India. I mailed it today. I wonder how long it will take to arrive? I was going to give you a sneak preview but I think it would have just given all the surprise away. So you'll just have to wait to see it in person.

Look What I Got in the Mail!

It's my beautiful tree page for February from Debi. Isn't all the hand stitching and beading wonderful?

Here's a close up of some of the french knots.

And a close up of the beading.

Schloss / Castle - Preview

Here is a preview of the castle page for Carmen. I will post it in the next days.

The castles turned out totally different than I planed it. But it was so much fun working on it that I didn't stopped till it was done.
