A sea page!

This is my January page from Kath. It is exquisite. The background is felt with some beading and stitching to add texture. It just speaks of the movement in the sea.

The signature on the back is simplicity itself.

A small detail for you to enjoy. I feel very privileged to have this gorgeous page in my collection. Thanks so much, Kath. Please could you respond and tell about the materials you have used in this piece?

  3. Thanks so much for your kind comments! I actually wetfelted the background but couldn't get merino wool here and didn't like the result so I needlefelted over it with bits of felting wool and threads then added couched threads and beads. Loved working it as I grew up in Scarborough, N.Yorkshire by the North Sea!
