Seashore

My next theme is "The Seashore". To get some ideas I drew some little charts (pictures (?)):

In our swap table I have seen, that Chris has the theme coastline. Now I'm asking myself: are these pictures more seashore or more coastline? Or are they good for both themes?
What do you think?

  1. Speaking personally, your lower two sketches say "seashore" rather than coastline to me. I see coastline as more like that seen on a map -a far greater area of sea and shore. Rather like the interpretation on the top one of your sketches.
What do the rest of you think?

  2. I think all three of them would work well for coastline. The bottom right one would work the best in my opinion for seashore because your subject ( the three rowboats) have been "beached"!

  3. I think it's all a bit of semantics. Seashore and coastline are pretty much synonomous in my book. They are all lovely sketches.

  4. I would be over the moon if i had any one of them, coastline to me means anything along the shore or even on the beach. I love groins coming out of the sea. I would be over the moon just to have someone stitch for me.
