Elisabeth, today I finally mailed your window page. Here's a tiny view of the page. I hope the mail will be quick and I hope you like it. I enjoyed making it a lot. It includes snow dyed fabric, neocolor wax pastels, SRE, appliqué, reverse appliqué and embroidery.

I know those words are English, but don't recognise them!! How do you dye in snow? What are neocolour wax pastels and SRE??? Sorry, I'm a real beginner with new techniques and products.

  4. Katerina snow dyeing is a technique where you dye with procion dye. you soak your cotton in soda ash solution, lay it out on a tray and put a layer of snow on top. then you squirt dye stock onto the snow and let the whole melt. alfter melting, let batch and then rinse as usual. neocolour wax pastels are color pastels/sticks which which you color fabric or paper and then you can add water with a brush and dissolve the pigment and spread it, like doing a water color. sre means silk ribbon embroidery. if you have more questions about techniques you can email me privately. I love to help. exploring new techniques is fun and inspiring.
